In August of 2010, my wife, Julie and I found ourselves suddenly “outsourced” from our corporate careers. At a time called “The worst job market since the great depression”, employment was nowhere on the horizon. Like many families during that time, the heartbreak of losing our home to foreclosure fast became a reality. Moving from our family home into a small apartment, was a not so gentle reminder of the stark difference between want & need. While searching for a place to sell what we couldn’t take with us & after years of dabbling in the furniture refinishing market, an idea started to form.
With the help and undying support of family and friends, selling the family vehicle, a $500.00 loan from our parents, & using every piece of our own furniture as inventory, Mill 77 Trading Company began. Outgrowing our first 3 locations & ever evolving, we welcome you to the new home of what is now Mill 77 Exchange. A place where our children & grandchildren work to help keep this dream alive. We are a ‘Family First’ kind of company where our family, friends and customers gather. Mill 77 is Where Everything Gets a Second Chance. Our philosophy is simple: Work Hard, Stay Humble, & Be Kind. Thanks for coming in.
